Hans Gugelot – system design for 15 years
Hans Gugelot is considered as the pioneer of the system design. In 1950 already he developed the modular furniture system M 125, which became design history at a later time.
In 1954 he was appointed lecturer at the newly founded Ulm School of Design by Max Bill. He also startet his work for Braun AG shortly afterwords.
Among others the system audio combination, the revolutionary SK 4 – called "Schneewittchen" came up, then the black and silver-coloured Braun Sixtant, became the corporate design.
The Kodak Carousel, the Hamburger Hochbahn and any number of other workings for Agfa-Gevaert, BAYER/BMW, Bofinger, Krupp, Lumoprint, Pfaff, Telefunken, Viessmann, and Weishaupt got world fame.
Hans Gugelot died as a result of a heart attack at 45 years of age.
